Basic Job Responsibilities   Consults with medical staff to advise on drug applications & attributes & to evaluate effectiveness of radiopharmaceuticals.   Maintains records, such as pharmacy files, charge system & inventory.   Analyzes records to indicate prescribing trends & excessive usage.   Oversees preparation and dispensation of experimental drugs.   Ensures patient receives required dose.   Answers questions & provides info to pharmacy customers on drug interactions, side effects, dosage & storage of pharmaceuticals.

Potential Employers Pharmacists are in demand all over the nation. Examples of some employers are: Walgreens Any Hospital

General Work Conditions Working conditions are in a pharmacy, whether it be in a hospital or in a store.

Educational/training Requirements A bachelor’s degree is the minimum formal education requirement. However, some jobs may require graduate school & a master’s degree. Employees may need some on the job training, but most places will assume that the person will already have the required skills, knowledge, work-related experience &/or training.

Other Job Qualifications Some skills needed include speaking, reading comprehension, active listening, mathematics, science, critical thinking, & writing. Other knowledge qualifications include customer and personal service, medicine and dentistry, chemistry, English language, computers and electronics, & administration and management.
