Ideas for teaching poems? Change the meaning/words of the poem to their opposites. Role-play the poem. Mime the parts. Guess the words. Interview one of the characters in the poem, or the poet. Give learners the title, and they write the words. Give the words and they write the title. Draw the poem. Give one verse, e.g the middle one and they write the first and the final verses.
Microteaching Jigsaw Participants will be divided into groups A,B,C,D. each group will get a poem. Create an activity. You will be regrouped that each new group has one person from groups A,B,C and D. Role-Play teachers and learners: take turns teaching the activity.
