Parent Informational Meeting RUHS Band and Guard

Introduction The RUHS Band and Guard Program succeeds based on the talented directors, advisors, and students and the necessary funding to support the various competitions and performances. The Boosters support the Program through coordinating and facilitating events, contributing financially, communicating, and soliciting volunteers to assist with events throughout the year.

Website: Facebook Page RUHS Band and Dance Guard Boosters and Friend (This is a closed page – please request to join) Student Facebook Page RUHS Band and Dance Guard The Facebook page is used to provide updates, share photos and videos, and ask questions regarding the Band and Guard Program. Occasionally, other posts regarding music and art education is shared. We ask that individuals focus on positive posts and refrain from negative posts. If there are concerns to be raised, please address with Band Director, Guard Advisor or Booster President.

School Requirements Marching Band and Guard are considered a sport and require registration on Athletic Website Select “Registration” Tab Complete Required Consent Forms Required Sports Physical prior to start of school Pay Transportation Contribution Amount Covers the cost for the students to attend field competitions and other music/dance competitions Separate fee for Fall and Winter/Spring – must be paid online Payment Questions: Contact Athletic Director Secretary

Program Funding Majority of Program Funding is through Booster Member Support Keep the Award Winning Program Funded through your Fair Share contribution Amount Paid may be tax deductible Certain Fundraising Efforts can offset Fair Share Contribution 2015 Fall Fair Share Contribution - $425 (same as last year) based on fall competition budget of $53,000 For first time marching band students we ask an additional $35 for shoes

Program Funding What Program Costs does Fair Share Contribution Cover?
