SUMMER CULTURAL EXCHANGE PROGRAM

Faces Exchange Program 2 way Faces Exchange Program Faces & Our Cultures offers shcools that have partnered with the program the possibility of an exchange experience in Guatemala for their students. This is a unique opportunity to learn first hand about another culture, practice spanish with native speakers and have a wider perspective.

Summer Cultural Exchange Program Our summer program generally includes three different experiences: Living with a host family Attending a private school in Guatemala Site seeing tour We will explain each of this experiences and the process behind them. Please note that for each visit we stablish, in agreement with the school, a different time frame (between two and eight weeks). This allows us to custom make every summer program experience, according to the group´s preference.

Living with a Host Family As a cultural exchange program, we have hundreds of families that we know are willing to host. The families that are chosen to host our US visitors, are highly recommended and known by the Faces Team. Host families will provide homestay and involve our US exchange student in their every day life. Every US exchange student will have a host brother / sister of the same gender and age. He/she will also attend the same school.

Attending a Private School in Guatemala Attend a private school in Guatemala and participate as regular students. F&OC team will visit exchange students at school. The host family takes care of transportation for and from school (either by bus or car).

Site Seeing Tour Our US students take the site seeing tour as a group. A tour guide is always with the group, and we suggest a school chaperone. One week of site seeing, contemplating the most important turistic places in Guatemala: Antigua Guatemala Lake Atitlán Tikal Chichicastenango

Tour Includes Lodging in Panajachel Boat tour in Panajachel Tour in Chichicastenango Flight Guatemala – Flores – Guatemala vía TAG All tickets Specialized guide - certified by INGUAT All ground transportation Breakfast in Tikal and Panajachel

F&OC Summer Program Includes School fee (materials, texts and any other school expense) Host family search Site Seeing Tour International Insurance F&OC team supervision and assitance

Expectations from the Program The Faces Team will be in constant communication with host families and schools, to monitor the experience. The program’s team is available 24/7 in case families, school or students have any question or need assitance.

BE PART OF THE EXPERIENCE!
