By Kaitlin Trainor

 Each person in the United States uses around 749 pounds of paper each year adding up to 187 billion pounds for the entire population  According to Earth Clock in 1 minute 25 forest had been cut down and only 9 had been replaced  1 billion trees worth of paper are thrown out each year  The average American uses 7 trees in paper, wood, and other products made with trees each year  To produce the Sunday paper every week it takes 500,000 trees

 Reducing and monitoring deforestation  Reforestation  Many companies are adding recycling bins to their work spaces

 Recycle! If every newspaper was recycled, we would save about 250,000,000 trees each year  Know your facts! The better educated you are about deforestation or global warming in general the more you can do to stop or prevent it  Support and buy from companies that are eco-friendly and use recycled materials  Plant a tree!
