What Our New Year 7's Think So Far:
Presentation transcript:

American School of Guatemala (CAG) Sierra Davis Spanish 3 rd

Difference At the American School of Guatemala there are around 190 faculty, and around 1445 students. There are 22 buildings with large sized classrooms. The school offers a scholarship program for 50 academically screened students (11 th -12 th )

Pros :] At CAG students become successful adults. Positive contributors to the world around them. Students graduate as bilingual(through two different langs.) and bicultural individuals(two distant cultures). Also, they learn how to become independent, critical thinkers and life long learners. Students also get taught the importance of values such as self-control, honesty and responsibility Cons:[ I think having that many students in a school would be too much to handle. Have to put a lot of time into the day Make sure kids are at the right building sense there are 22 buildings The more the faculty, the more pay!

What We Can Do!! At CAG, adults take the opportunity simply to talk one on one with their students and get to know them better as people. I think that here at East Lansing High School, teachers and adults don’t really know students very well. I feel that if they took some time to know students better and how they work and focus, then we may have better grades among students. It would be nice if Elhs had times were we all came together and help out with organizations to allow some students to bond, or reach out and meet new people. I think a way to also help improve our school system is to create an environment where students can express themselves, their opinions freely. Also, be taught how to be more respectful towards others!!!
