Presentation transcript:

Booster/Refresher Training: Implementation Plan Benchmarks of Quality Items # 35 –

2 Implementing Systems Change How well did your leadership team:  Teach the discipline system to all staff?  Train staff and students on HOW to teach the expectations/rules/rewards?  Provide booster/refresher trainings to staff and students throughout the school year?  Plan a yearly reward/recognition schedule of events?  Orient new staff and students?  Involve families and community members?

Look at your BoQ Data

4 Data Review How did your team score on Items on the BoQ? What is working? What needs to be improved?

5 Getting Faculty on the Same Page  How does your team plan to communicate with faculty prior to and during implementation?  How can faculty feel as though they are part of the change process?  What vision will be conveyed that these changes will impact them personally?  How will you share data & request feedback?  How will you relate activities back to school’s mission? How does the leadership plan to model the proposed changes?

6 Plan for Professional Development: Faculty/Staff  Overview of SWPBS  Referral process, definitions of behavior, referral forms, using data to make decisions  Expectations, Rules, Teaching Behavior  Basic Principles of Behavior  Reward System, Effective Interventions for resources
