The mission of the Los Angeles Regional Foodbank is to mobilize resources to fight hunger in our community. To fulfill our mission we: Source and acquire food and other products and distribute to needy people through charitable agencies or directly through programs; Energize the community to get involved and support hunger relief; Conduct hunger education and awareness campaigns and advocate for public policies that alleviate hunger. Our vision is that no one goes hungry in Los Angeles County.

How it works Our fleet of trucks pick up donations Donations are sorted and stored at the Foodbank Over 1,000 agency sites receive food from the Foodbank Those in need receive the food through pantries, soup kitchens and shelters and other agencies. The Charitable Food Assistance System Food Manufacturers USDA Feeding America Supermarkets and Retailers Food Pantries Soup Kitchens Children’s Feeding Programs Over 1,000,000 Children, Seniors and Working Families at risk of going hungry in Los Angeles County

Donating Food & Product to the Foodbank Food & Products come into the Foodbank in a number of ways: 2) National food companies donate through Feeding America 3) Through Food Drives 1) Our fleet of trucks pick-up donations from donors throughout Los Angeles County 4) Through United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)

The Foodbank Needs Volunteers to Help Fight Hunger Volunteers help in many ways at the Foodbank. 2) By creating food kits for seniors and children 3) By helping with food drives, special events and serving on the Board of Directors 1) By inspecting and sorting donated food
