USING THE DRIVE-ON HOIST

LOADING VEHICLE ON HOIST 01. Ensure that vehicle is centered left to right. 02. Make sure vehicle is in Park, parking brake applied (with permission). Manual transmission vehicles stay in neutral with wheels blocked. 03. Block at least one wheel. Block both the front and back of wheel.

RAISING HOIST 04. Make sure you have a spotter in place. Raise vehicle – checking for clearance above. 05. Bring hoist bed up to desired height – make sure you lift for one second after safety locks engage.

RAISING HOIST CON’T 06. When at the desired height, lower hoist until it stops on safety locks. Make sure hoist bed is coming down evenly on the locks. 07. When hoist has stopped, it is safe to go under vehicle.

LOWERING HOIST 08. Make sure area under hoist and around hoist is clear. Make sure people are at least 1 meter from hoist bed. 09. Raise hoist and disengage safety locks. 10. Slowly lower hoist while watching the area around the hoist.

USING THE JACKING BEAMS 11. THERE ARE TWO JACKING BEAMS ON THE DRIVE-ON HOIST. (FRONT & REAR) 12. JACKING BEAMS WILL ROLL FORE AND AFT. ARMS ARE ADJUSTABLE INBOARD AND OUTBOARD 13. ENSURE THAT YOU USE THE APPROPRIATE RUBBER BLOCKS ON THE JACKING BEAM

JACKING BEAMS CON’T 14. BLOCK A WHEEL OPPOSITE TO END OF THE VEHICLE BEING LIFTED. 15. ALIGN THE LIFT BLOCKS WITH A FRAME OR SUSPENSION MEMBER. 16. POSITION IN IDENTICAL SPOTS ON THE LEFT & RIGHT SIDES. 17. RAISE THE JACKING BEAM UNTIL THE LOCK ENGAGES – THEN LOWER ONTO THE LOCK. 18. *CAUTION!! WATCH FOR OVERHEAD CLEARANCE.

LOWERING THE JACKING BEAM LIFT THE JACKING BEAM OFF THE LOCKS AND HOLD THE LOCK RELEASE HANDLE. THEN LOWER JACKING BEAM.
