How we install 2013 at Micron SharePoint 2013, Server 2008 R2 SP1, SQL 2012 sp1 The install is the easy part. Configuration can be time consuming Install options Manual Time consuming when working with large farms. Scripted Repeatable Initial script creation can be time consuming.

How we install 2013 at Micron Farm configuration options Configuration Wizard Manual Scripted

We use scripted installation The installation and most of the configuration is automated using PowerShell scripts based on AutoSpInstaller We use Autospinstallergui to edit the xml input file Benefits Granular SQL server assignment and aliasing for (almost) every service/web app Centralized, remote installation to all farm servers XML input file

We use scripted installation Benefits (continued) Consistent installation and configuration across farms. Clean naming convention of databases and folders. Ability to specify any XML input file, by passing it as an argument to AutoSPInstallerLaunch.bat
