What is the Internet?  The Internet is the world’s largest computer network  It is accessed via high-speed telephone or cable lines.  The World Wide Web (or Web for short) is the best known feature of the Internet

What is the Web Used For?  To access information  To publish information  To send and receive  To conduct electronic commerce  To interact via chat rooms, newsgroups and games

What is a Browser?  Internet Explorer is a browser. It enables us to view the content on the web.  It locates the web pages and interprets the language used to write them so they can be viewed.
