Business Academy is a secondary professional school specialises in teaching economic subjects, ITV, accounting and foreign languages. The study lasts for four years and is finished with a school leaving exam called Maturita.

HISTORY of BA Business Academy in Ružomberok was created in 1992 due to the region´s requirements. The school worked under the leadership of Secondary Technical School in Ružomberok for five years. In 1997 the school became independent.

Opportunities for study: There is a possibility to choose from folloving fields: Full-time study: 1. F ield of study business academy, 2. F ield of study services in tourism, (from 2011/2012) Higher education: (postsecondary) EEEEvening classes 1. F ield of study business academy, FFFFull-time study ield of study tourism.

Graduation Four-year study is finished with a school leaving exam called Maturita which consists of: External part: it is held in the Slovak language and foreign languages. Internal: this part consists of a practical and teorethical part of economic subjects.

KIC (cultural-information centre) TTTThe school has a cultural-information centre for students who can spend their free time or breaks there, AAAA school library is located on the 1st floor where students can borrow books written in Slovak or foreign languages, IIIIt is also an editorial office seat of school magazine OA LIFE.

Cooperation of the school BA cooperates with Business Academy of Dr. Albín Bráf in Třebíč, Čzech Republic. Cooperation is in the fields of exchange stays and particpation in international competitions in typing and voleyball tournament.

Since 2009 we have developed cooperation with Masaryk Commercial Academy in Jičín within a multilateral project COMENIUS – school partnerships which concerns mutual exchange stays and experiences between teachers and pupils. The third partner of the project is Finnish-Russian school from Helsinki.

Competitions The school actively participates in various sports competitions (in volleyball, basketball, football, chess or track and fields events etc...). Other contents: International mathematics contest KLOKAN, olympiads in foreign languages,recitation contest, contests in typing or olympiad „Young accountant“,...

Students´life School – it is not just learning, but also a pleasure of student´s life. Welcoming of newcomers - imatriculation, under the leadership of students of the Third grade is the event which everyone is looking forward to each year.

Besides welcoming „newcomers“ we organize a farewell party for our graduates Green ribbon party is a celebration for each secondary student who gets a green ribbon as a symbol of hope for the future..
