Pelamis Wave Energy Converter P-2

How it works The pelamis uses the motion of ocean surface waves to create electricity The machine converts hydrokinetic energy when a wave goes through the machines connected sections and flexes and bends. This motion is what generates electricity.

Development Producer: The company Pelmais wave power created this product with 2 generations. 1 st generations were first used in 2009 which was called P-1 and 2 nd generations were put into use in 2010

Impact The pelamis wave energy converter impacts humans because it produces cheap energy using water which is a renewable resource. It has little to no impact on the ocean because it stays close to the top of the ocean and uses the motion of waves. It does not disturb any animals or organism in the ocean. Power plants impact the ocean because it release nuclear and radioactive waste into the ocean that kills organisms.

Pollution Pollution that is produced is : Air pollution Radioactive pollution Water pollution

Compare / Contrast Cheaper Uses water No pollution P-2 Power plants cause pollution: Air, water On land FPL Electricity maker

Why choose Pelamis Choose Pelamis as your main energy and electricity provider. It is cheaper, cause close to no pollution and runs a renewable resource the ocean. Companies like FPL use power plants that create air pollution and water pollution. It can also run out of resources. Choose Pelmais and do something good for you and something better for the enivorment.
