Objectives Label parts of a table saw on a worksheet with 90% accuracy. Show knowledge of safety rules in the lab while using a table saw with 100% accuracy. Demonstrate skills to use the table saw with 100% accuracy.

Reasons to Learn Why do we use a table saw? Why should we know the different parts? Why is safety so important to remember.

Questions to Ask What are the different parts of the table saw? What are the safety rules for the table saw? What are the steps of using a table saw? What types of cuts does a table saw do?

SAFETY FIRST ALWAYS! WEAR SAFETY GLASSES! DO NOT LET HANDS GET TOO CLOSE TO THE BLADE! We can not sew fingers back on! No loose fitting clothes or jewelry on.

Safety First Use a push stick when pushing the end of the wood through the table saw. Always have table saw off when making adjustments. When using the table saw stand to the side of the material. NEVER remove the blade guard.
