European Portable Battery AssociationEPBA EPBA 2 25% after 4 years is ambitious but achievable 45% after 8 years is not achievable, based on the current experience of battery collection in certain Member States Target after 8 years should be set on the basis of that achieved in the 25 Member States after 4 years Collection targets EPBA position 2005
European Portable Battery AssociationEPBA EPBA 3 The level of the target should be realistic and achievable in the timeframe. The targets should take account of the experience in those Member States that have been collecting batteries for a number of years. It should be recognised that those Member States that do not have a history of battery collection would require a longer time to develop and set up an appropriate infrastructure and to educate the population than those that do.
