Students learn an object lesson in ethics while viewing “The Dark Secret of Hendrick Schon” and completing a companion worksheet. Students teams read and summarize the central ideas of the “Code of Ethics for Engineers” using white boards. A teacher-led discussion follows this activity. An exciting avenue to generate student STEM career interest is through Robotics. The “Scientific Research” 14 standards will be utilized to create a compliant research course that focuses on robotics. The structure of this class is as follows: Unit 1 – Research Methodogy. Unit 2 – Collaboration Methods.
