Laundry detergent case In 1972, due to environmental concerns, Miami, Florida, prohibited the sale, possession, and use of laundry detergent that contained phosphates. Mazis (1975) conducted interviews with housewives in Miami and Tampa (which had no such law). Only people who had been using phosphate laundry detergents during the previous six months were interviewed. Who rated their detergent more highly? Why?
