1 How to start the Online Labs module ?
22 System Requirement for doing Online Labs Before you start your course, make sure that you have following system requirements: In order to be able to use the Lab Console, your system needs to have Java installed. Make sure you have the latest Java installed. If you don’t have Java you can download it from Disable popup blocker on your browser. Our system works best with Google Chrome. Broadband Internet connection with decent speed. Decent means if you can watch a You Tube video on your broadband connection you can use our labs as well. Anything less than that will make things jittery.
33 Step 1 – Go to Login Go to Click on LOGIN at the top of the webpage
44 Step 2 – Enter Login Details A popup will open. Enter your registered ID as username and Password sent to you in the .
55 Step 3 – My Courses Once you have successfully logged in, click My Courses link on the top of the webpage.
66 Step 4 – Go to Dashboard On clicking my courses your course dashboard will appear. The Labs enrolled would be listed under Online Labs category on this page.
77 Step 5 – Find the assessments Your Assessments would be listed under the E-learning Courses category.
88 Step 6 – Schedule your Lab Schedule your lab by clicking Schedule Now:
99 Step 7 – Check the available time A pop will appear upon clicking Schedule Now. Choose your time zone and preferred date of access and click on Check Availability:
10 Step 8 – Select Start Time Slot of the Lab You would be required to select the preferred start time of your lab. Select the START TIME SLOT and click on CONFIRM SELECTION.
11 Step 9 – Time Left to Start The Access VLab column in Dashboard will show TIMER with time left for the module to start.
12 Step 10 – Launch the Lab Wait until the scheduled time till the timer become 0 min 0 Sec and Launch VLab link appears. NOTE: Please refresh the webpage if LAUNCH VLAB link is not available at your scheduled time.
13 Step 11 – Lab Console Load Launch VLab will open a popup as shown below. Please wait for 3-5 minutes for “Java” to load. Once the Java is loaded, Java icon shown above will disappear and Lab Console will open.
14 Step 12 – Allow Java access A WebRDP prompt will ask your consent to open the application. Select “I accept the risk and want to run this application” and click on Run
15 Step 13 - Wait for Console to Open Please wait for 1-2 minutes and the Lab console panel as shown below will automatically open. You can use this remote desktop to use the lab equipment as per your course.
16 Step 14 – Open Instructions A window with all the step by step instructions on the tasks to be done in the lab would automatically appear. However if your browser has pop blocker enabled, this window may not be visible. Click on Module Instructions tab to open the Lab Instructions.
17 Step 15 – Start your Lab course You can have parallel access to instructions and lab console and complete you lab module.
18 Finish the Lab And that’s it!! You are good to experience the world’s greatest telecom labs online. 19 Attempting the assessments
20 Step 1 – Go to your Dashboard and Access Course Your Assessments would be listed under the E-learning Courses category. Click on Access Course
21 Step 2 – Open Assessments Click on HCDA Course Assessment
22 Step 3 – Open the relevant assessment There would be 4 assessments listed in this webpage. Click on the quiz you want to take.
23 Step 4 – Attempt Quiz Now Click on Attempt quiz now button
24 Step 5 – Start Attempt A popup will appear. Click on Start Attempt. The quiz will start. Note – The quiz once started has to be completed within stipulated time.
