Objective To generate publicity for a cause or identified issue within a community

Types of Media Outlets to Employ Radio Television Newspaper Public Speaking

Expose the Identified Issues State the facts and use the three talking points rule Employ as many forms of media as possible Make sure you have the communitys support backing you when you speak. Dont be timid- speak passionately. AND IF THIS DOESNT WORK, THEN……………………………..

Introduce Something SHOCKING!!!!!

Newspaper Insert numerous newspaper clippings

Radio Insert audio clip

Fan the FIRES!!!!! Keep the issues that you have identified ablaze.

Additional Pointers… Give updates to the press regarding project developments as they occur. Invite the media to events happening in the community Encourage communication between community leaders and the press. Be careful to let the reporter come to his own conclusion.
