Priority II Priority II: Common challenges Priority aims at addressing common problems and initiating and continuing joint actions in the areas of common interest on both sides of the border. Measures: Measure 2.1 Joint actions aimed at protection of environment and natural resources; Measure 2.2 Preservation and promotion of cultural and historical heritage and support of local traditional skills; Measure 2.3 Improvement of energy efficiency and promotion of renewable energy sources. 3

«GreenMan» factsheet Project name: Tartu, Rezekne, Pskov: Green Management for Urban Development & Planning in EE-LV-RU Border Capitals / GreenMan Project duration: May 2012 – April 2014, 24 months Project budget: Total budget: ,78 EUR Program co-financing (grant): ,30 EUR (90%) Overall objective: To contribute to increasing greenery & attractiveness of the cities in EE-LV-RU border area for their residents & visitors. Specific objectives: 1. Improved efficiency of urban green areas management in Tartu, Rezekne & Pskov; 2. Increased coverage of green areas in the cities by creation of GA and preparation of technical docs for future green areas; 3. Improved networking & experience sharing between the specialists dealing with urban green management.
