The DeKalb County Experience with MAPP Funding and Resources Teresa Daub DeKalb County Board of Health September 27, 2005

Presentation Objectives 1.Provide background and context to explain how DeKalb County initially funded the MAPP process. 2.Describe how the MAPP process helped the county attract new funding.

MAPP Phase One (Organize for Success) Determine the necessity of undertaking the MAPP process. Identify and organize participants. Design the planning process. Assess resource needs and secure commitment. Conduct a readiness assessment. Manage the process.

Securing Commitment: Personnel DeKalb County Board of Health (3 FTEs) Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta (.5 FTE) Grady Health System (.5 FTE) Total: 4 FTEs
