Colegio de Estudios Científicos y Tecnológicos del Estado de Jalisco CECyTEJ Bilingual is located in the website: http://www.educacionweb.mx/cecytej-eng

Platform Content The platform has four important areas: 1st stage: Great Start English Course. Open Skies (partial exams). 2nd stage: Total Learning. Repository of Information (Academic Contents for General Subjects).

Description In the first stage of this important project that will be available this semester we have:

Great Start English Course Description Great Start English Course

Open Skies Partial Exams Description Open Skies Partial Exams

Open Skies (partial exams). This area of the platform has the material for the partial exams, provided by MMPUBLICATIONS which is the editorial of the English books series “Open Skies”.

Description In the second stage of this project that will be ready next semester (January 2016) we will have:

Total Learning English Course Description Total Learning English Course

Total English Course This course reinforces the English knowledge of the students. It helps the students to improve the level and to reach a C1 (CEFR) level. It contextualizes the students in an English environment. It has instructions and materials only in English.

Repository of Information Description Repository of Information

Repository of Information The Academic Contents for Subjects in General This area of the platform has helpful information and useful materials that help teachers and students to learn different subjects in English.

General Characteristics The contents of Great Start and Total Learning do not match with the Didactical Sequences that teachers use in class but they help students to get a better development. The course promotes autonomy. The partial exams can be answered on line in the platform or in paper version.

General Characteristics Students have to finish 4 units as minimum per partial evaluation to get the 20% of the grade. Due to the complications of uploading students to the platform and the advance of the classes in the first partial, we recommend the teacher to give the students the 20% of the grade corresponding to the activity work in the platform with other activities that were done in class or as extra curricular activities.
