Technology Orientation

 Must be signed and dated prior to receiving a network account.  Do not let others (especially students) use your account.  Change your Password every 30 days.  Anything done under your digital signature is your responsibility.

 Username is first initial followed by last name. (John Smith would be jsmith)  Password must be changed at first login and every 32 days.  Passwords must be 6 characters long.  3 failed login attempts will lock account for 15 minutes.  Change password on a school computer with no other programs running. Hit (Control+Alt+Delete) to reset password.

 All accounts set up through Microsoft Live  Available anywhere at  Username is complete address  Using Microsoft Outlook 2007 is allowed; but not supported.

 For break/fix items, fill out a workorder at  Helpdesk available through NKU Virtual-CIO. Call or chat This is available for home use.  For technology related questions/inquires,  Individualized help available by appointment

 Be careful on Facebook and other social networking sites.  Serve as an example of good Digital Citizenship for Students.  Instruction using Blogging or other social networking must have prior approval by administration.  SharePoint or SchoolPoint must be used for Instructional Projects.
