August 2013 Updates: Alma’s play date party with Jasper and Holly!

When I made plans with my friend Cheryl to have a play date, I mentioned the date fell exactly on Alma’s actual birth date. She took this very seriously and organized an amazing party for Alma! She invited Holly and her mum Alicia as well, and Jasper gave Alma a bag of presents.

While lunch was being prepared, the kids enjoyed playing in the sand pit outdoors and gobbling pineapple, indoors. Cheryl and family have recently moved into a cool 70s style large home in Leonay, overlooking the train track (we can spot their house when travelling to Blaxland fortnightly).

We had a fun lunch together and then for the next surprise: Cheryl bought a chocolate mud cake and had a no. 3 candle on top! Jasper was especially excited.

Cheryl also made a jelly with fruit and I brought rice puff cupcakes, so we had a proper party... When everyone had enough sugar, we went outside to play with bubbles in the front driveway.

They spent A LOT of time playing with the bubbles... A few neighbours (people we also know from the church playgroup) dropped by to say hello.

When the mums had enough of blowing bubbles, we convinced the kids it is time to move on to ride some vehicles and meeting some new friends...

At last we went indoors to play quieter games, like puzzles and the hungry hippos (Jasper is still working on the concept of sharing, despite being the third child...) It was such a fantastic play date party, many thanks to Cheryl for the big effort!

The Cinderella puzzle Cheryl gave Alma for her birthday was a big hit, she built it many times (gradually with less help). In our next presentation: Alma had a month filled with a combination of rough days and lots of fun
