Congressional research and education Institute founded under the ISTEA in 1991 Funded by US DOT Research and Special Programs Administration and Caltrans Office of New Technology and Research Dedicated to surface-transportation policy research, education and information transfer Overseen by a world-class Board of Trustees Reauthorized under TEA 21 at three times the original funding

Two Program Offerings Master of Science (MSTM) Total of 10 classes to earn degree 6 core classes 3 electives Culminating capstone course Graduate Certificate (CTM) Total of 4 classes to earn certificate 4 core classes or 3 core and 1 elective

Focus on Transportation Management  Learn to understand transportation markets from a real-world management perspective  Learn to manage: -a transportation program -a transit agency -a major investment study  Core classes take an in-depth look at transportation management, planning and systems.

Affordability: a key incentive Continuing Student Performance Fellowships Awards given in recognition of academic performance and to financially motivate students who intend to complete the program in an accelerated manner. Master’s Degree Students Eligible to receive a $1,000 award up to four times during the MSTM program. Certificate Students Certificate Students E ligible to receive a $ award up to two times during the CTM program.

Classes are delivered by two way video- conferencing using the latest web casting technologies Classes are available at SJSU and Caltrans District Offices Missed classes may be monitored via the World Wide Web

Master of Science in Transportation Management MSTM Requirements -Degree from an accredited college/university -Desirable: -3.0 GPA -500 GMAT -TOEFL (if undergraduate degree program was in a language other than English)

Graduate Certificate in Transportation Management CTM For students not ready to pursue the master’s program, but who are committed to furthering their transportation careers Requirements: -Degree from an accredited college or university -No minimum GPA -No GMAT

Earn your Master of Science in a little over two years, concurrent with full-time employment Take one course at a time, one night per week for each 10 class sessions Classes are offered twice in the Fall Session and twice in the Spring Session. Summer electives are to be determined
