Table of contents - Solar power - The discovery - How its helpful

Introduction Can we use the sun? I have been very curious about who discovered solar power and how it came to be The solar power discovery is interesting, because you're using energy from the sun to make heat or electricity.

Solar Power Using energy from the sun to make heat or electricity People in Africa use solar ovens to cook their food Solar power has the most success in warm places

Solar power continued… Solar Power can only work in the day Sometimes you can store energy in the day when you are not using it. Nowadays, people are making objects solar powered like, calculators, clocks, cars, houses, etc.

Inventor and Invention Horace de Saussure discovered solar power He was a Swiss scientist He discovered solar power in 1767

Inventor and Invention Continued… He made little heat collectors ( greenhouse models). He made another heat collector called The Heat Box. He kept it out in the sun for hours and later he checked it and it reached 228 degrees Fahrenheit

How Solar Power is helpful Solar Power is renewable It produces no harmful gases Its helping the economy because we don’t have to spend tons of money of fossil fuels.

How Solar Power is Helpful continued.. Solar power is non-toxic It doesn’t harm any plants or animals Solar power doesn’t spread pollution

Conclusion Don’t you think solar power is neat. Solar power is used in many ways and who knows what it will be like in the future?
