A mineral is a naturally forming solid chemical substance created through a biogeochemical processes, having certain characteristic chemical composition, highly ordered atomic structure, and specific physical properties. To be classified as a true mineral, a substance must be a solid and have a crystalline structure. It must also be a naturally occurring, homogeneous substance with a defined chemical composition. A mineral is an element or chemical compound that is normally crystalline and that has been formed as a result of geological processes.

A vitamin is an organic compound required as a vital nutrient in tiny amounts by an organism. Dietary supplements, often containing vitamins, are used to ensure that adequate amounts of nutrients are obtained on a daily basis. Scientific evidence supporting the benefits of some vitamin supplements is well established for certain health conditions. Vitamin Facts

Who Won?

Nobody! Each are needed to make the body function. Minerals like iron and potassium are needed for cellular functions. Vitamins are needed to help things like sight and hearing.
