India has many cultural traditions. Every state in India has its own history of New Year celebration.
In agricultural India some people celebrate New Year as the harvest holiday, whereas others celebrate New Year in honour to a supreme deity – Brakhmu – who created the whole world.
The every New Year house is decorated with beautiful colors, leaves and candles. People present each other gifts and spend this holiday in a family circle.
In Kerala region New Year is the brightest time of a year. There is the colorful carnival in this region. All people wear carnival masks during the event.
