Objectives of SS Strands  The Ohio Department of Education has created these Social Studies strands in an attempt to develop a variety of crucial skills within the same SS classroom.  The strands help guide teachers who are unsure of how to develop these areas of SS into their classes, and will strengthen their abilities as a teacher.
