2 ► Why? ► Sungard drops B7 support 4/30/2011 (was 9/2/2010) ► Update Character set to support international standards/formats ► Prepares the platform for Banner 9 and beyond ► What? ► Banner – mainly just updating the character set of the database ► O/S and Oracle upgrades ► ODS is already on v8 ► All 3 rd party apps are being investigated for compatibility ► Appworx and Luminis ► Very few new features ► How? ► 6 test migrations (was 5) ► Using newer server architecture that better supports D/R & resource man. ► Who? ► IT and key functional “testers” ► When? ► Review Migration Timeline ► Current “Go Live” target is October 11 th, 2010 (was April 21 st, 2010)

4 Migration Timelines  Two Banner 8 systems now available (no 3 rd parties) ► BNR8 as of 7/20/09. Online 8/18/09 ► BNR82 as of 10/2/09. Online 11/21/09  3 rd BPPRD as of 12/3/09. Arriving 2/10/10 ► Add Appworx 2/22/10 ► Add Luminis 3/22/10  4 th BTEST – 5/6/10  5 th BSTEST – 6/7/10  6 th BEUTR – 8/18/10 ► Production “Dress Rehearsal” ► Requires a timed verification  PROD – 10/11/10 ► Begin: System down 5:00pm Friday 10/8/10 ► Before releasing, will clone to BPPRD by 9:00am ► BPPRD will be opened to select persons for validation (can run updates if need be) Banner 8 Migration Planning
