WIT Project Overview The WECC Interchange Tool (WIT) is a WECC solution providing Interchange Authority (IA) functions for the Western Interconnection. WIT Performance to Date WIT Contract 1.7.4 No Single Point of Failure The WIT system must be fully redundant, including at least dual internet connections using separate providers. The WIT system must be configured in either a parallel or hot standby configuration unless otherwise mutually agreed upon between WECC and OATI WIT Contract 1.10.6 Availability WIT availability will be 99.0% measured over a rolling 30-day period. The 99.0% availability requirement will apply only to WIT elements that are not part of OATI’s Authority Service. The Authority Service will comply with NERC availability requirements for Authority functions NERC E-Tag Specification 99.5% availability per WEQ-004 WECC Registry, WIT and OATI Tag Authority Service all far exceed these minimum requirements. 640 System Users Proprietary and confidential.
