A passing score on the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST). Completion of courses in U.S constitution. Subject matter competency. Passing the appropriate praxis. Formal recommendation from a college or university.

WHEN SCHOOL FIRST STARED, TEACHERS WERE MOSTLY MEN. HORECE MAN WAS CONSIDERED “THE FATHER OF EDUCATION.”

Average pay range is from $1,895 to$4,179 per month Entry pay range is from $1,847 to $2,687 per month Experienced pay is from $2,209 to over$3,379 per month Top pay range is from $3,357 to over $4,179 per month

Information A teacher must: Keep attendance records administer tests, and evaluate student progress. Attend faculty and professional meetings educational conferences, and teacher training workshops.
