Presentation transcript:

 Allows the purchase and reading of e- books  Many newspapers and magazines are converting to this format  Uses E-Ink Corp is supporting other companies devices  Apple soon to come out with their own version

 First chapter will be available for free to entice the reader to purchase the entire book  The reader will then have the option to purchase the entire book or just individual chapters  This will cause the “return of the cliffhangers”

 Extremely easy access to millions of books anywhere or anytime  Easy reference options  Essentially this will be the equivalent to music with an I-Pod with books  Ability to store your entire library of books in your hand  Global booklogs will prosper

 The Kindle already carries blog and newspaper subscriptions  Every word in your library will be searchable  Kindle users buy significantly more books due to the easy accesability  If a book is recommended to you, it can be purchased immediately

 Kindle will take the intimacy out of reading a book  Too many distractions from actually reading and enjoying the book  As of now, there is no system of organization for Kindle  Instead of pages, Kindle uses a “location” for their books

 Why would people pay for books that they can get for free?  The same question was presented to Steve Jobs when he launched I-Tunes  Kindle takes away from the freedom to escape in a good story

 This is being said to be the greatest invention since Gutenberg’s printing press  Kindle has caused Amazon’s company growth to be robust  As a result, Amazon has already released their version of Kindle for use on I-Phones

 Kindle is ultimately leading the way toward the standardized micropayment system Any Questions?
