Sponsoring Effectively

 Personal sponsoring  Flyers  Newspaper ads  High School and Colleges  Churches All of these methods are effective There are many ways to build your group

 Response from print ads in some markets has declined  Internet became more widely used  Internet became a viable tool for job seekers Due to declining newspaper readership…

 Because of their success other websites (job boards) were created Monster and CareerBuilder were popular choices

 Web Ads became “lost in the crowd”  There was no assurance they would always be seen  Why? Because you don’t know which web sites potential sponsors are looking at? As more web recruiting sites evolved…

They could be looking at any of these top 50 websites  AfterCollege.com  Bestjobsusa.com  CareerBuilder.com CareerBuilder.com  Careercast.com  CareerPark.com  Careersurf.com  CollegeRecruiter.com  Craigslist.org Craigslist.org  Dice.com  DiversityWorking.com  EmploymentGuide.com  Employment911.com  FindARecruiter.com  FreshJobs.com  GetTheJob.com  GoJobs.com  Indeed.com  InterviewExchange.com  Jobalot.com  TheJobBox.com  Job.com  JobCrntral.com  JobCircle.com  JobFox.com  Jobirn.com  JobSearchShortcut.com  Jobserve.us  JobShouts.com  JobSimply.com  JobsinPods.com  Jobs.net  Jobzerk.com  Juju (job-search-engine.com)  LatPro.com  LiveHire.com  LocalHelpWanted.net  Monster.com Monster.com  myCareerSpace.com  nationjob.com  Net-Temps.com  Realmatch.com  SimplyHired.com  SnagAJob.com/ SnagAJob.com/  Thingamajob.com  TopUsaJobs.com  Tweetmyjobs.com  TwitJobSearch.com  UsaJobs.opm.gov  Vault.com  VetJobs.com

Or one of these websites which are free for companies to post:  DevBistro.com DevBistro.com  Doostang.com Doostang.com  GigFish.com GigFish.com  ITpinnacle.com ITpinnacle.com  JerrysJobs.com JerrysJobs.com  Jobvertise.com Jobvertise.com  LuckyDogJobs.com LuckyDogJobs.com  NewsJobs.com NewsJobs.com  PostJobFree.com PostJobFree.com  SalesTrax.com SalesTrax.com  Smuz.com Smuz.com  TeleportJobs.com TeleportJobs.com  TheJobSpider.com TheJobSpider.com  WirelessJobs.com WirelessJobs.com

 It was confusing for applicants, too many choices  New technology was created called aggregator sites  Aggregator sites search the internet and combine most ads into one site  Applicants simply go to the aggregator site of their choice  Aggregator sites do most of the work for them And with so many web sites for the applicants to look at

 Place many ads on free sites  Place as many ads as you can afford  By doing both of these, your ads may get picked up by an aggregator site Web exposure is one of the keys

Some of the top aggregator sites

Here is how aggregator sites work They select: a category the city Then the ads appear. The highlighted ones are the paid sponsored ads.

This ad was placed by us on LuckyDogJobs.com

ss This example shows the ad being picked up by “Indeed.com” But the ad showed on the 10 th page

 You can hope and pray that the aggregator puts your ad there.  But there is no guarantee.  Or you could budget yourself and pay a little more to insure better positioning  Select the aggregator site you want, contact them for rates and details Positioning your ads up on top of aggregator sites

 Ads in newspapers are a Sunday/Monday process...  Ads on the web are 24/7  Best to schedule an interview as soon as you get ad calls  But sometimes it’s in the off hours that they are searching and they leave a message or they send resumes  SO check early and often and schedule quickly Web sponsoring unlike print ads is 24/7

 Ad postings are good for 30 days  They appear on the day that you post it. Craigslist is a popular choice

As the days of the week go by this is what happens 1. Ad posted Monday, cost $25 2. Ad does not show Tuesday or Wednesday 3. If you want it to show on Tuesday you must repost cost $25

 You should repost your ad early morning of the day you are interviewing  Otherwise it will stay up for 30 days but it will remain on the exact day you originally posted it Craigslist, reposting points:

 Go to the cover page  Scroll down to the bottom  Look for the link called “resumes”  Applicants post info about themselves  The ones that appeal to you, contact them  As technology develops this feature might be available on other sites, so keep a look out. Be Proactive with Craigslist

 Twitter: If you or someone in your group has an account, messages of 140 characters (tweets) could be sent frequently exposing your sales opportunities, at no cost.  Facebook: 550 million users, if it was a country it would be the fifth largest. This is a powerful sponsoring tool  Linkedin: The main reason that companies are using LinkedIn is to find passive job candidates. A great site to incorporate in your overall sponsoring efforts Be pro-active with all social media

 Use all the sponsoring tools and methods available  Create exposure Ads, flyers, web, social media, personal sponsoring  All of these work, some work better in certain markets Recap: To insure you get effective sponsoring results

 No longer can you run “blind” ads  Potential sponsors want to know who you are and what you are about  Your company’s reputation is more visible and can make a positive impact on your results The internet has created exposure

 We understand that a potential sponsor can “open up another browser” and search for Carico while they are looking at jobs on the internet  We want to make certain that they see POSITIVE information on Carico  Expanded our IT team  Focusing on S.E.O.  Building more web sites (We now have 18 web sites)  Carico is now active on all social media sites, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter,  And we are placing emphasis on creating more “back links”  Our Emphasis is to dominate the first 3 pages of search results with Carico What is Carico doing?

 We are in the process of completely redesigning Carico’s main web site  Making it more consumer friendly and easier to navigate  Creating more visually appealing pages  Simply… making it more dynamic  Just the way Carico is. In addition…

 Carlos Pabon and myself will be sharing more information with you on this topic in one of the breakout rooms  It is our commitment to help you get more results by using a powerful tool called THE INTERNET. This afternoon…
