The Boston Massacre By: Sera, Meghan, and Arielle

The Boston Massacre occurred on March 5, 1770.

The Boston Massacre happened because people were growing angry at the British troops for enforcing the Townshend Acts. The troops were harrassed by gangs and the angry troops killed 5 men. Six of the British captian's men were acquitted and two were discharged from the army. The overall outcome of these events led to the increase of support for independence from Britain.

The Boston Massacre happened to the British troops & some commoners that rioted against the British troops.

The British troops fired into the rioting crowd and killed 5 men.
