The French and Indian War

1753 George Washington sent with letter to French fort warning French to get out of the Ohio river valley French plan just opposite and build series of forts to control lands and trade. In 1754 Washington sent to build a fort and gets into battle with superior French force.

French and Indian War cont. Most Indians side with French The Marquis de Montcalm and Indians pummel English Braddock and others World conflict between French and English September 1758 General Wolfe defeats Montcalm on the Plains of Abraham and the English kick the French out of the new world.

Protest Begins
