The work we ask the children to complete will often be questions specifically to prepare the children for those tests as well as improving key skills needed to progress throughout year 6. Children will soon receive a planner where they will note key dates and homework expectations. We are hoping that this will increase independence and support them in their transition to high school. We ask parents to check that homework is completed to a satisfactory standard, in pencil or blue/black pen not felt tips or gel pens. We also request that parents sign the homework to show that they have seen it.

So please try to look at both classes web pages.

Transition to High SchoolTransition to High School  Our local High Schools are currently beginning to offer Open Evenings for prospective pupils  We do not always get informed by the schools so please feel free to contact them directly should you wish your child to be considered for a place  During their time in Year 6 we will be preparing your children for the transition to High School – giving them greater independence in learning, taking on greater responsibility, giving them opportunities to widen their social group within our year etc
