Premises:  Comprehensive, coordinated, family- centered care that takes advantage of community resources will improve outcomes for children, especially those with special health care needs

The health department called about Jessica, a 5-day old with a positive newborn screen for methylmalonic acidemia. What do we do now?

Your first patient today, a 5 year old, is new to the practice, coming in for a well child check and the schedule says he has fragile X. Is there anything special you should know or do?
