Study Tips for Succeeding in Economics Economics is a subject you learn by doing, not by memorizing. The more you work problems, the better you understand the concepts – and the better youll do on exams.

Study Tip # 1: Practice, practice, practice. MyEconLab gives you lots of practice and study resources. For every chapter, you get: –Practice Tests –Homework if assigned by the instructor –Study Plan –eText upgrade optional

Click Quizzes & Tests to find Sample Tests for each chapter. Use them for practice, and to test your understanding of the chapter. Study Tip # 1: Practice, practice, practice.

Study Tip # 2: Identify your strengths, and overcome your weaknesses. Youll do better on exams when you identify which topics you know well, and master topics you dont know yet. MyEconLab helps you do both.

Your Practice Test results generate a Study Plan. Beside each chapter topic, youll see: Yellow star if youve mastered the topic Red arrow if you need to review and study the topic For problems you havent mastered, click the name of the topic to find: Additional practice problems Each practice problem has study aids that help you master that specific type of problem: guided solutions, animations, and more.
