UFI promotes the Exhibition Industry UFI is the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry. It unites 659 members in 83 countries:  343 Organisers125 Organisers and venues91 Venues only  49 Associations51 Partners of the Industry. UFI recognizes the need to develop the promotion of our industry towards our multiple stakeholders (prospects, existing clients, local authorities, education organizations, investors and media). UFI started to reference existing material, in order to analyse it, share it and contribute to develop standard tools. N.B. UFI believes that exhibitions have unique assets in terms of economic benefits which justify that they are looked at as a specific segment of the event industry. JMIC conference - Paris May 20152

Scope of the current UFI project & full scope Value of exhibitions Exhibitions deliver economic, social and environmental benefits to: JMIC conference - Paris May The exhibition business The supporting industries (hotels, restaurants, transport, etc.) The industries served by exhibitions the territories where they are held thanks to the expenses of participants, which convert into jobs & tax income (current UFI “Economic Impact Studies” project) the industries they serve and primarily to visitors and exhibitors (image & promotion, contacts/business, education, reduced travel) Full scope “Exhibitions are a sustainable way of doing business”
