Comenius project «English language integration in the preschool game lessons»

Sport and english in preschool «Ritenitis» Latvia

GOAL: Movement education and exploration thus enhancing balance, coordination, vestibular development, physical development, large and small motor skill development and athletic skills. Balancing health and learning. (Body and mind). Cultivate socialization skills (sharing, caring and helping). Introduction to music and creative dance. "Children's physical development affects how they perceive themselves, affects how others respond to them, determines what they can and cannot do and makes new behaviours possible”"

Tasks: Encourage children's interest in physical activity. To introduce preschoolers to a variety of sports in a structured, safe, inclusive and non-competitive environment. Show preschoolers that sport and physical activity are fun. Develop and enhance age-appropriate gross motor skills, coordination and correct posture. Introduce and reinforce the importance of warm-up and stretching to help prevent injuries and proper hydration. Teach the importance of good sportsmanship and teamwork.
