I. What is the Kingdom of God? ANSWER: IT IS A SPIRITUAL KINGDOM

righteousness, and peace, and joy (Rom 14:17) For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God (Joh 3:3) Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

The kingdom of God cometh not with observation kingdom of God is within you (Luk 17:20-21) And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

II. What is the Kingdom of Heaven? ANSWER: IT IS A LITERAL PHYSICAL KINGDOM

and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven (Mat 8:11) And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.

IV. Tracing these Kingdoms through the Bible

1. Starting with eternity past

Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God (Eze 28:12-15) Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God ; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

V. Transferring these Kingdoms to a New King

1. After Lucifer’s fall

 God Still has a plan that he intends to carry out. (Gen. 1:3- 2:7)  In Gen. 1:1-3, God takes 6 days to recreate the earth, to get ready to accomplish His plan for the universe (Watch the 7 th day)  On the sixth day God creates a new king that he is going to give the Kingdoms to, and his name is Adam

He is the King over the Kingdom of God

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness (Gen 1:26) And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth (Gen 1:27-28) So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. He is the King over the Kingdom of Heaven

VI. The Splitting of these Kingdoms

A. Kingdom of God!

1. Adam dies spiritually and loses the Image of God

B. Kingdom of Heaven!

 Notice after the fall, god leaves Adam on the earth, he didn’t die physically, and still has dominion over the Earth.  The crown to the Kingdom of Heaven is still in his hands but, not on his head  From this point in the bible, from the fall of man to the birth of Christ, the next 4,000 years (Old Testament) is nothing more than a study of the Kingdom of Heaven

1. Following the Scepter of the Kingdom of Heaven; from Adam to Noah

BIBLEBIBLE  Remember that God’s desire is to have eternal worshipers that are in the image of God  Remember Lucifer and Adam had both reigned over these kingdoms  The one thing that Lucifer couldn’t do that Adam could was to populate it himself  What would be Satan's best way to counter God’s plan, and counterfeit God’s redemptive plan through the promise seed so that he could destroy the plan be? WHY THE FLOOD?

BIBLEBIBLE  The whole earth begins to be filled with wickedness again, climaxing in chapter 11 with them building a tower and city  The Tower is a religious kingdom (Kingdom of God)  The City is the commercial or physical kingdom (Kingdom of Heaven)  The tower’s purpose is to ascend into the heavens (Remember Isa. 14:13) THE RESULT IN THE EARTH

3. Following the Scepter of the Kingdom of Heaven; to Abraham

BIBLEBIBLE  God begins to look for a new king to replace Noah  There is a genealogy from Gen. 11:10-32, that brings you to the next king of the Kingdom of Heaven  His name is Abraham…  It going to be hard to knock this king off his throne because God enters in to a unconditional covenant of grace with Abraham AFTER THE TOWER OF BABEL

BIBLEBIBLE  His kingship is not dependant on his righteousness.  He is promised a literal, physical, visible, earthly domain  The promise is that the Kingdom will pass down through his seed  Keep your eye on the “Abraham’s seed” and the land that God gave him. Facts about this Covenant

(Gen 26:2-4) And the LORD appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of: Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father; And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;

BIBLEBIBLE  David is the 1 st real king  This is the throne that the promise seed will sit on in the future (Davidic Covenant) House of David

, I will set up thy seed after thee I will establish his kingdom (2Sa 7:12-13) And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever.

BIBLEBIBLE  David is the 1 st real king  This is the throne that the promise seed will sit on in the future (Davidic Covenant)  After receiving the promise of the “SEED” the Devil goes to work to counter that plan House of David

And David sent and enquired after the woman. And one said, Is not this Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite? And David sent messengers, and took her; and she came in unto him, and he lay with her; for she was purified from her uncleanness: and she returned unto her house. And the woman conceived, and sent and told David, and said, I am with child.

9. Following the Scepter of the Kingdom of Heaven; to Solomon

BIBLEBIBLE  As Solomon takes the throne there is a time like never before or since in the nation of Israel (Almost restore garden of Eden times)  But Solomon begins to marry foreign wives (Totaling 1,000)  After his region the kingdom splits in two (Northern {Israel} and Southern {Judah})  Every King in the North is evil  The kings of the Southern are hit and miss  All of these things are recorded in the books of Kings and Chronicles House of Solomon

BIBLEBIBLE  At this point the Kingdom of Heaven leaves the earth and the Nation of Israel becomes dethroned  The date is 606 BC and the nation is taken captive by the Babylonians  Now that both kingdoms are gone off the earth Satan takes control of the physical kingdom  Whosoever is going to reign must get control from Satan  This begins the “Time of the Gentiles” The departure of the Kingdom of Heaven

BIBLEBIBLE  There is brief try to regain the kingdom and the glory in Ezra and Nehemiah but to no avail  There are 400 years of silence between the prophet Malachi and John the Baptist THE TIME OF THE GENTILES
