7. Do you have suggestions/recommendations of other topics/speakers/formats for the future? l Medicare part D and the plans that are out there specifically Humana Gold and benefits like SNF. More on actual homes/places that are available for low income families and how to get people in them. l An actual list should have been made available as a handout l Major insurance representatives that cover major Tidewater area. Services that they cover and future plans. l Presentation on Virginia’s Medicaid program l Health insurance options for SSDI and underemployed persons l Encourage researching mobile dentistry efforts in different states l Chairman should help audience to stay on topic, prolonged time spent discussing children’s access and bigger problem is adult access. l More information on restorative services--prosthetics for example l Keep up the good work.

8. Additional Comments: l These symposiums are very beneficial to make us aware of community resources. It would be nice if someone could put together a list of services available/where/when/eligibility/ contact information. l Very good information for future use l There was no mention of services for the homeless, which was mentioned on the announcement for this session. l Pamphlets were good, panel informative. Is there a list of health departments in state? l I heard about this presentation through planning council l The panel wasn’t really a discussion, needed more structure/time. l How can we obtain MOM project info to access dental care for our community health center. What types of grants are available for dental care? Can Access help us obtain a referral network to connect with some of those panel services? l Access to care regarding geriatric community, particularly those is long term facilities (such as nursing homes). Need to go beyond talking and start doing. Send press release to public and invite press to attend. l Need partial/denture clinics. Insurance's need to get on board of being part of overall health.
