BUILDING STRONG ® Actions since last Board Briefing Funding:  ARCF well funded for FY-12 Natomas PAC:  Activities on Natomas on hold pending project authorization ARCF GRR:  A meeting with Corps HQ and South Pacific Division was held on 2 March. It was agreed that the Feasibility Scoping Meeting held in March 2009 was adequate for the GRR. WRDA 1996 & 1999 Project Sites:  Real estate coordination for construction contracts awards in September continues ► Critical programmatic agreement for permanent easements is not being pursued by DWR. 2

BUILDING STRONG ® Cooperation with SAFCA & CVFPB Natomas PAC:  Corps activities on hold pending authorization  Sponsor continues to work crediting package request ARCF GRR:  The collaboration with the sponsors continue on GRR activities  Team refining preliminary designs on alternatives  Schedule revisions are being worked by the project team ARCF WRDA 96 & 99 Project Sites:  10 designs under contract with P&S due in May 2012 continue on schedule  Turn over of 4 completed WRDA sites in

BUILDING STRONG ® Challenges Funding: ARCF is well funded for this fiscal year. No funding in Presidents FY-13 budget for GRR. ARCF Natomas Basin: ► Encroachments on levees ► Project Cooperation Agreement (PCA) Amendment ► Crediting Report ARCF GRR: ► Encroachments and vegetation on levees ► Funding to continue GRR activities in 2013 ARCF WRDA 1996 & 1999 Sites: ► Real estate certification being worked by State Real Estate Office for Summer 2012 State certification of permanent easrments is critical for award of planned construction contracts this year ► Design continues on remaining WRDA sites for completion in May 2012 ► 4 EAIS will be presented at State Board Meeting for approval in August State approval critical for bid opening and awards of planned construction contracts this year 4
