People born in the years are identified as the Baby Boomers Generation, are now in their 40’s and 50’s.When the young males of the United States, Australia and Canada returned from WW2, allowing them to spend more time and cherish moments with their family. This allowed dramatic increase significantly in the number of new children in the world

Characteristics associated with the Baby Boomer’s Generation are:  Economically optimistic  Sexual Revolution  Introduction of new Technologies  This generational segment constitutes a large majority of today's law firm leaders  corporate executives, senior paralegals and legal managers. In fact, nearly 70 percent of law firm partners are Baby Boomers  Rock n Roll was introduced  Increase in social equality  workplace more ethnically homogenous  Goal oriented  Individual choice and freedom  Community involvement

The baby boomers generation would have been in their youth around the 70’s. Music in the 1970’s Funk Rock, Heavy Metal, Disco, Punk Rock, Bubble- gum Pop, Experimental Classical Music and Minimalist Music, nowadays the music is voice edited whereas the 70’s were original voices of the singers. TV shows that they watched in the 1970’s were shows such as Bewitched, The Brady Bunch, Charlie’s angels and The Dukes Of Hazard etc.

The fashion in the 70’s was daring, changed frequently and bright colours, big gold silver hoops, chunky heels and crazy hairdos Women- Could wear micro mini or maxi skirts, halter neck cat suits, flared clothing and straight, flared jeans. Shoes- platform soled shoes was introduced from ¼ inch to 4 inch platforms (they increased as they became more popular) Fashion colours: Emerald green, Apple green, Bottle green Men: men’s tunic, Norfolk jacket, belted turtleneck and flared jeans, denim outfit and Argyle pullover etc.

During the 1970’s the major issues included a disadvantaged and shortage of manpower, inequality in healthcare and access to it. Health issues: The Food and Drug Administration approved the use of lithium to treat manic illness. Australian psychiatrist John Cade in 1949 had proposed lithium as a tranquilizer and soon succeeded in controlling the mental issue marked by periods of great excitement in longstanding hospitalized patients statutes were reformed to permit therapeutic abortion 1972 Eisenstaedt legalises the pill for unmarried women million American women are active in the use of the contraception pill The government pressure from the people to initiate health care reform but programs were underfunded and cost effective

During 1973 an oil prohibition brought widespread panic to the nation of America. Middle eastern countries stopped exports of petroleum to many Western Nations representing a long standing religious and political conflict. Exports were stopped to countries such as United States and The Netherlands due to their involvement in the Arab Israeli conflicts. Therefore oil prices were extremely unaffordable and from this the term “Middle east crisis” arose. Other political issues were Vietnam and Watergate.
