Improved with stronger features The new and improved TrimFlex+ Family all comes with a wide range of strong upgraded technological features, extra trimmers and programs to suite the end user’s needs. Adaptive Feedback Manager to reduce feedback without reducing gain Adaptive Noise Reduction system to control noisy environments 4 channels with Wide Dynamic Range Compression Wide band AGCO maximizing comfort in loud noise Push button with choice of 2 comfort programs 4 trimmers for BTE models

Super Power BTE product TrimFlex+ TFP90-VI The TrimFlex+ Super Power BTE, first in a full range of improved trimmer products and the most advanced & powerful device in our entire product range! It is 100% digital but can be adjusted in an easy, fast and flexible way by controlling the trimmers – no computer or software needed! Trimmers available for our Super Power BTE: –High frequency control –Low frequency control –MPO control –Program selector

Super Power capacity! The power gain and fitting range is top in its class* Full-On Gain up to… 89 dB SPL Maximum Output up to…142 dB SPL Fitting range up to…140 dB HL! Battery type 675 Battery life time420 hours Accessories to support special needs − Direct Audio Input (DAI)shoe − Cross/BiCross − Spectacle Adaptor The new TrimFlex+ Super Power combines advanced technological features with some of the best gain and output offered. This hearing instrument will cover from moderate to profound hearing loss in all ages; children as well as seniors, that needs the most gain available in the market. * See Competitor Analysis, section 5

BTE product The TrimFlex+ standard BTE is the strong upgraded version of the older BTE. It has been built in the same housing, but with the new strong technological feature package AND a push button for the programs available. As with all the TrimFlex+ products, the standard BTE is 100% digital but can be controlled through its easy to use trimmers - no computer or software needed! TrimFlex+ TFP70-V Trimmers available for our BTE: –Low frequency control –Threshold Kneepoint control –MPO control –Program selector

BTE capacity! The power gain and fitting range is top in its class* Full-On Gain up to… 71 dB SPL Maximum Output up to…131 dB SPL Fitting range up to…110 dB HL! Battery type 13 Battery life time322 hours Spectacle Adaptor as an accessory The new TrimFlex+ standard BTE also combines advanced technological features with some of the best gain and output offered. With its powerful fitting range and Gain/Output, the new TrimFlex+ BTE hearing instrument will cover from mild to moderate/severe hearing loss! * See Competitor Analysis, section 5

Trimmers – Easy Fit, Easy Use

The Maximum Power Output controls the sound level of the Hearing instrument: Rotate the MPO trimmer clockwise to reduce the overall output. Why Maximum Power Output trimmer? To protect the user from unwanted sound levels! Trimmer – MPO Control

Trimmer – Low frequency control The Low-frequency trimmer control: Rotate the trimmer clockwise to control loud sound and low pitched sounds. The control can also be used to shape the frequency response Why Low-frequency trimmer? To give the benefit of being able to control soft sounds in general and improve speech clarity!

Trimmer – High frequency control The High-frequency trimmer control: Rotate the trimmer counter-clockwise to amplify low-frequency sounds This trimmer can be used for eliminating feedback. The control is active in the frequency of1000 Hz and above. Why High-frequency trimmer? To give the benefit of being able to control uncomfortable sounds!

Trimmer – Threshold Kneepoint control The Threshold Kneepoint trimmer control: Rotate the trimmer clockwise to control loud sounds and high-pitched sounds. To control soft sounds in general, rotate the TK trimmer counter-clockwise. Why High-frequency trimmer? To give the benefit of being able to control both loud and soft sounds!

Trimmer – Program selector The Program selector trimmer: Rotate the trimmer clockwise to choose between 4 programs. The chosen program configures the push button. Why a Program selector? With a trimmer to control the program selector, you will have a wide choice of selecting which program setting is most suited for the hearing impaired.

Volume Control Simple and easy to use Volume Control: Average (HTL) at 2 kHz Volume Control Setting 60–65 dB < 60 dB 11,5 > 96 dB81-95 dB66-80 dB 22,53 Set the position of the volume control according to the patient’s hearing threshold (HTL) at 2 kHz

Push Button Program selector New comfortable programs available: The hearing care professional will, based on the end user’s needs, program the HI with the appropriate programs. There will be either one program (Basic) or two programs (Basic & Noisy environment available). Programs can be selected by simply pressing the Push Button. One or more beeps will indicate which program has been selected.

Fine tuning Guide TrimFlex+ allows you to help customers with all types of hearing losses – from mild to profound. The variety of form factors and wide fitting ranges give you great flexibility in meeting the need of your customers. The Fine Tuning Guide will assist you in adjusting the various trimmers to suit all needs.

Fine tuning Guide

Adaptive Feedback Manager The TrimFlex+ Super Power Adaptive Feedback Manager monitors the so- called ‘error signal’ to look for presence of feedback across the range of frequencies Hz. The Feedback Compensation filter is adapted so that the ‘error signal’ is minimized. Unlike an adaptive notch filter or adaptive channel gain - this approach does not reduce gain in the hearing aid

Adaptive Feedback Benefits Automatically reduces feedback At least 10 dB of improvement Without lowering gain Improved stability allows Higher gain fittings Looser ear mould fitting Larger venting Acoustic telephone use Hearing experience intact & more Music is not distorted Better understanding in high frequency and speech

Adaptive Noise Reduction The TrimFlex+ Super Power Adaptive Noise Reduction system uses three detection time layers over 10 bands to detect speech in noise depending on the listening situation – automatically! Environment layer: This layer is designed to identify when speech is not present and gradually reduce the NR band gain (10 seconds), but also to reactivate it slowly when speech is detected again. Quick-Recovery layer: The Quick-Recovery compliments the Environment layer and releases the sound quickly to avoid the listener to have a delay in speech recognition Syllabic layer: With the Syllabic mode it is possible to recognize fast or slow modulations, enabling the system to determine where to filter with a Noise Reduction ++

Adaptive Noise Reduction Benefits Syllabic layer benefits Enables the hearing instrument to distinguish between noise signals and actual speech, thus making it easier for the wearer to filter out and understand their surroundings Environment layer benefits Will avoid uncomfortable increases in the gain when in silent areas, in other words help adjust the sound input in environments and make it more comfortable for the listener in all situations. Quick-Recovery benefits Much better performance and audibility when in conversations. Ensuring that the listener will not miss out on any parts of the conversation when changing from quite to busy environments.
