Elected in 1960 as the 35th president of the United States, 43- year-old John F. Kennedy became the youngest man and the first Roman Catholic to hold that office. He was born on May 29, 1917, in Brookline, Massachusetts, into one of America's wealthiest families and parlayed an elite education and a reputation as a military hero into a successful run for senate in 1946 and for the ­­­­congress in As president, Kennedy confronted mounting cold war tensions in Cuba, Vietnam and elsewhere. Malcolm X (born Malcolm Little; May 19, 1925 – February 21, 1965), was an African-American Muslim minister, public speaker, and human rights activist. To his admirers, he was a courageous advocate for the rights of African Americans, a man who charged white America in the harshest terms for its crimes against black Americans. His Opponents accused him of preaching racism, black­­­ pride, anti-Semitism and violence. He has been described as one of the greatest and most ­­­­ influential African Americans in history. Malcolm X was born in Omaha, Nebraska. His childhood, including his father's lessons concerning black supremacy and self-reliance and his own experiences concerning race, played a significant role in Malcolm X's adult life. In 1946, Malcolm X was sentenced to eight to ten years in prison for petty crime. While in prison, Malcolm X became a member of the Nation of Islam. Upon release he became one of the Nation's leaders and chief spokesmen. For nearly a dozen years, he was the public face of the Nation of Islam. Tension between Malcolm X and Elijah Muhammad, head of the Nation of Islam, led to Malcolm X's departure from the organization in March After leaving the Nation of Islam, he founded Muslim Mosque, Inc., a religious organization, and the secular, black nationalist organization of afro-american Unity. Less than a year after he left the Nation of Islam, Malcolm X was assassinated while giving a speech in New York. 'A wise man can play the part of a clown, but a clown can't play the part of a wise man.' He means that someone who is stupid/ignorant cannot make wise/good decisions. But someone who is wise can still mess up.

Martin Luther King, Jr. (January 15, 1929; April 4, 1968) was an American clergyman, activist and prominent leader in the african- american civil rights movement. His main legacy was to secure progress on civil rights in the United States, and he has become a human rights icon: King is recognised as a martyr by two Christian churches. A Baptist minister, King became a civil rights activist early in his career. He led the 1955 Montgomery Bus Boycott and helped found the Southern Christian Leadership Conference in 1957, serving as its first president. King's efforts led to the 1963 March on Washington, where King delivered his "I Have a Dream" speech. There, he raised public consciousness of the civil rights movement and established himself as one of the greatest orators in U.S. history. In 1964, King became the youngest person to receive the Nobel Peace Prize for his work to end racial discrimination and racial segregation through civil disobedience and other non-violent means. By the time of his death in 1968, he had refocused his efforts on ending poverty and opposing the Vietnam War, both from a religious perspectives. King was assassinated on April 4, 1968, in Memphis, Tennessee. “If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.” He means that no matter how hard things get, keep pushing yourself.
