Realities Required Education and Training Increases for Employment – 2010 Examined 4 - Year Degree or More* Education = 30% Teachers, Counselors, Admin., etc. All Other Non- Education Degrees: Doctorate = 23% Masters 21% Bach + Exp = 7% Bachelors = 49% to ,484,000 new jobs projected for 2010: The three largest growth areas = 36% of these new jobs (2,357,000) #1: 47% = computer software, network administrators and computer systems analysts #2: 30% = education #3: 23% = managerial and accounting/auditing *Bachelor’s or higher degree includes: Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, Doctoral degree, Bachelor’s degree plus experience, and First Professional degree (lawyer, physician, pharmacist, clergy, etc.)
