Facts During that time, marine reptiles, ammonites, and dinosaurs were there. Hot warm climate. The end of this period created division between Mesozoic and Cenozoic eras. Scientists think it could have been gradual instead of a very quick extinction.
Causes Scientists believe it was caused by a giant meteor. Another theory, is that there were several strong volcanoes explosions and the ahes cover up the sun.
