Suchomimus By Isabel November 2011
My dinosaur is Suchomimus. It means Crocodile mimic from Tenere. Scientists are not sure why Suchomimus died.
It was 36 feet long, so big. But today crocodiles have a small body. But it looks like a crocodile but it’s not.
This dinosaur walked on 2 legs. It went fast and swam fast.
They ate mostly fish and meat every day. But it was easier to get fish than meat. They can get a velociraptor.
When a dinosaur came to a lake to drink, they attacked it. Then they would eat.
They found the fossils in Niger, Africa, but no where but Niger, Africa.
They lived 100 million years ago. They lived in lakes and rivers and swamps.
It lived in the Cretaceous period.
No dinosaur had a big jaw in the Cretaceous period like this dinosaur.
A man standing next to it would have his eyes at the Suchomimus’s knee. It was really big. It weighed 8.5 tons. If you see a history book they do not look the same.
